Family history of the farm
Our family has been farming for generations, ever since our great-grandparents arrived from Norway. Nestled in the Driftless area of WI, our 270-acre farm is a little slice of heaven, complete with rolling hills and a meandering spring-fed stream. It is here that rich, gently nurtured soil yields an abundance of hemp with farming practices that are garnering national attention. In fact, the USDA applauded our conservation efforts and responsible farming practices.
Our hemp journey begins in 2018
The 2018 Farm Bill made growing hemp in the USA possible. Earnest work, fixing and reusing are farm ways of life. We repurposed old equipment and buildings for a far greater good—growing plants for medicine.
We set out with a pioneering spirit determined to grow high quality hemp as naturally as possible using the collective wisdom of our farm family and organic local resources.
Planting hemp and the story continues
We placed thousands of seeds in growing trays under the protection of a greenhouse and oversaw them with care. Emerging seedlings were strengthened in the sunshine and breeze at the ridgetop nursery while warmed by a wood stove at night.
We repurposed our tobacco transplanter and restored 1953 John Deere tractor to put these viable seedlings into rows with ample room to grow. The planting was slow and steady with each plant mechanically set in soil by the revolving clamps of the transplanter. Nearly 10,000 plants were individually placed with the utmost care of our family.
The result of our family's stewardship was a vibrant garden of hemp—the most beautiful field of medicinal plants in the county.

Through Lindre™ we are able to share the numerous benefits of our organically grown hemp paired with a base cream that is equally special to our family.
As a director level pharmacist, our father played a critical role in the formulation of a national leading dermatological and pharmaceutical cream. Due to its proven quality and enduring popularity with consumers and dermatologists alike, this was the only cream we considered using as the base for Lindre.
In Lindre, we have taken all we’ve learned from farming and pharmacy to specialize in the medicinal properties of hemp. It is an honor to bring Lindre from our family to yours.
